The knitting chart maker launched today to a captive audience of two. Actually, Megan was busy designing a website for an artist who dyes yarn, but I was there and let me tell you, I was captivated.
Copy a block of "...k2, p3, ssk..." gibberish and paste it into a form then click Go! and wham, you get a lovely chart that actually looks something like what you're trying to knit.
Knitting instructions go in:
Cast on 27
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: K4, P3, *K5, P3; repeat from * across, end K4.
Row 3: P4, K3, *P5, K3; repeat from * across, end P4.
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: Knit.
Row 6: P3, *K5, P3; repeat from * across.
Row 7: K3, *P5, K3; repeat from * across.
Row 8: Repeat row 6.

Knitting charts come out:
I mean, really. It's just a bunch of knits and purls. The knitting instructions make it look like Klingon. But the chart is clear as Jean Luc Picard's enunciation.
Here's the first batch of knitting stitches to come out of the chart maker. Over time we will create a library of stitches along with pictures of the finished product.
