Knitting Stitches: Moss Stitch

The Moss Stitch is the one of the simplest patterns. It can be scaled to any size and looks the same on front and back.

Also known as the American Moss Stitch and the Double Moss Stitch (in British patterns usually), it finishes with a flat, curl-free fabric.

 

Mult 2 + 1 (ie, odd number of sts)

Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from *, end k1.
Row 2: *P1, k1; rep from *, end p1.
Row 3: *P1, k1; rep from *, end p1.
Row 4: *K1, p1; rep from *, end k1.
Repeat Rows 1-4
